I have hunted with Hunter Ross and Desert Safaris on several occasions now and have to say that all aspects of the hunts have met and exceeded my expectations. The guides have been super to hunt with, know the areas we have hunted well, and are excellent judges of the game animals. The facilities and food are outstanding. The mule deer hunt is in the most spectacular high desert area one could hope to see. But don’t forget the deer. I have hunted mule deer for a number of years and had expectations of seeing a few deer each day, those expectations were blown away by seeing an astonishing number of deer each trip out. I always tried to keep count but would get excited by seeing more and more deer and lose count. We saw at least 10 to 20 bucks per day and someday more. Hunter’s protein feeing program is producing some outstanding animals, and it sure makes me look forward to next season. On all my hunts I have felt like a member of a hunting party hunting with a group of old friends, not a client : that makes Desert Safaris special.

I was referred to Desert Safaris and Hunter Ross from a good friend of mine and had my first hunt with him in 2005. Based on this very successful hunt I have subsequently booked with Hunter for Desert Mule deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Aoudad Sheep, and Axis deer and have had 100% fill rate with better game taken each year compared with the year before. The accommodations are top notch and the guides are always hard working and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you harvest a good trophy animal.
