SERVICES INCLUDED IN HUNT:

 

* Meals & comfortable lodging on ranch or in motel
* Transportation during the hunt in 4-wheel drive jeeps or pickups
* Services of our professional guides
* Field dressing, skinning, caping and quartering of your trophy
* Taxidermist arrangements

SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN HUNT:

* Desert Safaris does not provide alcoholic beverages, regular hunting equipment needed by clients, firearms or personal effects.  We can arrange to provide firearms and ammo with prior notice at no additional charge.
* If a client has any special dietary needs or other requests please notify us in advance that way we may properly accommodate you.
* Hunting Licenses
* Airport pickup/delivery
* Gratuities:  Tips are customary for guides, cook and additional staff if services were desirable and to expectations.

CAMP AND HUNT POLICIES:


On all of our big game hunts we do enforce a wounded game policy.  If you draw blood, hair or bone that particular trophy will be considered harvested and paid in full.

Everyone's safety and well being is Desert Safaris #1 priority, period.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not allowed while hunting and we reserve the right to allow a client not to hunt if not of sound mind and being.  After the days hunt and the firearms are stored feel free to have a drink and enjoy yourself.

Trophy fees for additional animals (if applicable) will be applied at the conclusion of the hunt.

SHIPPING AND OR DELIVERY OF TROPHIES:


Should Desert Safaris have to ship capes, horns or antlers to client's requested destination you will be charged for shipping in addition to crating/handling fees.

BOOKING YOUR HUNT:


All hunts are booked on a first come, first served basis.  We will hold your dates for no more than 10 days without a deposit.

Deposits are non-refundable unless another hunter can replace it at full price.  It is not Desert Safaris obligation to replace a hunter if a cancellation takes place.

Upon receipt of deposit, we will send a client confirmation letter containing receipt of payment and pertinent information regarding dates and hunt package.

Prior to your arrival for hunt an equipment list and driving directions to hunt location will be provided via U.S. Mail or email, whichever is preferred.


DEPOSITS:

 

Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of your particular hunt.  Upon receipt of deposit, a confirmation letter and acknowledgement of dates will be sent to you.  Deposits are non-transferable and may not be rolled over into a following year unless prior arrangements have been made.


PAYMENTS:

 

Clients will be invoiced for the remaining balance 60 days prior to hunt and final balance should be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to your scheduled trip.  If balances are not paid 30 days prior to trip, deposit may be forfeited and trip cancelled.

 

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS AND FEES:

 

Texas Residents:
Type 101: 
$23.oo valid to hunt any legal bird or animal.

Non-Residents:
Type 105: 
$300.00 valid to hunt any legal bird or animal.
Type 157:  $45.00 valid to hunt exotic animals, all legal game birds except turkeys, non-game animals and javelina.  Legal for 5 consecutive days.  Fees for hunting license, stamps and permits are mandated by Texas Parks and Wildlife and are subject to change.  Every hunter in Texas including non-residents born on or after 09/02/71 must successfully complete a Hunter Ed course.

Approved Hunter Ed course from all states and Canada are valid in Kansas.

CANCELLATION BY DESERT SAFARIS

Should Desert Safaris be forced to cancel your reservation, we will do our best to provide you with a reasonable alternative. If this is not deemed acceptable, Desert Safaris will reimburse the total amount of the price submitted to that date. 

POSTPONEMENT POLICY 

Should you postpone your hunt trip to the following year these penalties are applicable:
*  10% penalty of hunt cost for a postponement made 60 days prior to departure.
*  1/3 penalty of hunt cost for a postponement made less than 60 days prior to departure.
 There will be a surcharge for credit card charges which varies depending on card. Please call for percentage rate on amount.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 

* Call for season dates (varies annually upon species).
* Liability Release and Waivers will be signed before hunt takes place.
* Observer fee ($200.00) daily per person.
* 1x1 Guide fee ($200.00) daily per person.
* Clients arriving by commercial airline will fly to El Paso, Midland/Odessa or San Antonio, TX, Hermosillo, Mexico or Wichita, Kansas.
*Any game wounded and not retrieved will be considered harvested and paid in full.
