"Desert Safaris operation
is exceptionally
well run. Not only do they make sure all the
hunting details are properly attended to,
but they also make sure everyone is having
a great time. They were great guys all
the way around, who I can highly recommend."
Dr. Harald Heymann, North Carolina

2006 season hunt facts
This year
proved to be average for Desert Safaris in Kansas this year hosting 10
hunters taking 8 bucks total. The rut began late this year correlated with
warm temperatures making difficult conditions. The largest deer harvested
this year were a muzzleloader buck in the 150 BC class and during the
firearms season we took a 150 class animal and a monster 8 point that
grossed over 160 BC. We have moved our operation to the Southeastern part
of the state in Unit 2 with over 3,000 acres of private ground with
numerous hayfields, creek-bottoms, heavy timber and CRP grass patches -
excellent whitetail habitat that is producing some sleeper bucks.
